Less is More Green Tag Foundation is deeply grateful for your support. Because our core pillar is transparency, this policy clearly explains how your donations are securely handled and the strictly limited circumstances under which a refund may be requested.

1. Nature of Donations All contributions made to Less is More Green Tag Foundation are charitable donations. By making a donation, you acknowledge that:

  • Your contribution is a voluntary gift to support our verified reforestation, eco-certification, and conservation missions.

  • Donations are strictly used to fund audited programs, essential operations, and mission-related activities exactly as transparently described on this website.

  • No goods or services of significant value are provided in exchange for your donation.

  • While we rigorously track and verify every planting project, the unpredictable nature of environmental work means we cannot guarantee specific ecological outcomes from any single individual contribution.

2. General Non-Refund Policy As a strict general rule, all donations are non-refundable. Once a donation is securely processed, it is almost immediately committed to active, certified programs, verified seedling procurement, or on-the-ground partner payments. This policy allows us to act quickly and efficiently on urgent planting and restoration needs.

3. Exceptions — When Refunds May Be Considered We will consider refund requests only in the following heavily limited circumstances:

  • Duplicate donation: You accidentally submitted the exact same donation more than once.

  • Unauthorized charge: You did not authorize the donation and suspect fraudulent use of your payment method.

  • Technical error: A verifiable technical error on our website resulted in an incorrect amount being charged.

  • Donor error: You donated an amount significantly different from what you intended (must be submitted within 30 days).

4. How to Request a Refund To request a refund under the exceptions above, please contact our accountability team within 30 days of the donation date:

Please include your full name, exact donation amount, donation date, and the email address used at the time of donation. We will investigate and respond within 5–7 business days.

5. Refund Processing Approved refunds will be securely returned to the original payment method used at the time of donation. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer — typically 5–10 business days after our approval.

6. Recurring Donations If you set up a recurring donation and wish to cancel future charges, you may do so at any time by contacting us at contact@greentagfoundation.org. Cancellation requests are processed within 2 business days. Any charges already processed before the cancellation request was received are subject to the general non-refund policy.

7. Donation Designation Donations designated for a specific certified program or campaign will be used for that exact purpose to the fullest extent reasonably possible. In the event that a specific campaign is completed, fully funded, or oversubscribed, those designated funds will be transparently redirected to the most closely related active Green Tag program.

8. Tax Receipts A verifiable donation acknowledgment and/or receipt will be provided for all donations upon request. Less is More Green Tag Foundation (EIN: 41-5100472) is a registered domestic nonprofit organization. The deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation — please consult a tax professional.
